Well basically this week I went out to the local thrift store, and stumbled upon a pretty much brand new condition retina 1a for 13 bucks. I snagged it and began looking into the scale focus "feature" and determined I would get an external rangefinder to make life easier. I bought two.
First one I bought is the Accura rangefinder for $7 shipped. It came in two days and had a piece shaking around on the inside. It turned out to be a glass piece to one of the view finder portions, so I simply glued it back on carefully. Good as new. Only issue I'm having is, can this be calibrated?
The second rangefinder I bought is the Kodak N type close up rangefinder. There is very little information on this piece so my main question is...can I use this as a regular rangefinder? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

As far as I recall -- it's been many years since I had one -- 'close up' is something of a clue. This is designed to be used with close-up lenses, and is of little use without them.Well basically this week I went out to the local thrift store, and stumbled upon a pretty much brand new condition retina 1a for 13 bucks.
