I saw this coming back in 2005 when they quit making B/W photo paper - which was about the time the turn around team from Hewlett Packard settled in to reinvent Kodak.
Who knows had they spun off the analog side years ago, Kodak film may of gone the way of Agfa or maybe extraordinary someone may have done a better job of downsizing the business.

They are just going to buy it somewhere else.
But, still, a change to keep some film in production for now.
