Well, hopefully Kodak's film line will remain stable after all!

Did we ever do a survey to find out how many RFF users were pro photographers. i.e., the majpority of their income comes from photography? Since that's the first question Kodak asks, I'd be interested to see the comparison of pros to amateurs.

I'm not a professional photographer by any means, but I took the survey, answering honestly that photography is not my primary source of income.
You can probably guess the rest of my answers.
This one looks for real. They don't ask your name or e-mail, so it's not a marketing campaign.
Digital drools!
That's where I saw it first. I was about to post it here, but somebody beat me to it.

My "status" as a shooter has shifted over the years, but has always hovered below the 50% income mark, putting me squarely in the "semi-pro/amateur" category. Frankly, I feel this is the market the big K is going to make its biggest nut on from here on out, although bona fide pros shooting the silver stuff are still important as well.
I vaguely recall there being an RFf poll about pro/amateur status, but don't recall the results. Perhaps a reprise is in order.

I just did my part. I do wish that they had a comments line to give some input but I think they are going to be quite suprised in the results of film users. Then they might wonder what brand film they are using!

Excuse me, but conducting an internet poll for this sort of thing makes the results completely worthless. What's the point of a survey where any 12-year-old kid can pass for a "pro photographer", and where everybody can push their agenda by voting twenty times?

That, plus I found the questions and the available answers very very limiting. No way I could express myself properly in that survey. But then, is Kodak really interested in what I think?

Eh, those are called statistical margin of error which can be taken into account when tallying the result.rxmd said:Excuse me, but conducting an internet poll for this sort of thing makes the results completely worthless. I said I preferred the look of film but preferred the convenience of digital. Guess what I shoot most of the time? ;-)

I just posted this on the choose-film.com forum. I hope they don't get miffed that I'm sending people to their competitor's web site.

Thanks Barrett- good to see Kodak is at least curious. I am decidedly in the 'film only' camp, with no real desire to shoot digital, so I wish there was a 0% alone and 100% alone category in the survey.
