...That is not to say that film will be around for a incredibly lengthy amount of time as relatively speaking the health of our planet seems more bleak to me than the health of the film industry.
I am sorry you suffer with such a bleak outlook. I hope photography at least allows you some escape from it.

What's wrong with any of this?
Nothing, I'm just saying that's my observations, and people don't obsess over film photography as some of us do, and that a spike in film production doesn't mean we'll get film like 125px etc back

On a related note. Film sales are up but prints probably are not.
My local Costco just closed their photo department. Gone.
Was going to stop by for passport photos, guess not.

Your Costco does no printing, framing, mounting of any kind? I can't fine a Costco like that anywhere.
