So, with HC110 not being very available I've moved onto Legacy L110r as a replacement. The bottle indicates I can use pretty much in the same ways including dilution levels and development times.

So can I in fact use it exactly the same as Kodak HC110?
Any different mix recommendations?
Any development times changes I should know about?

I usually buy locally and the locals didn't have either in stock. So a few weeks ago I bought the l110r fromfrom Freestyle a few weeks ago in part because they didn't have hc110 in stock at the time.

I don't know the answer, but both Freestyle and B&H have HC-110 in stock. I don't know where you are, but if you live on West Coast of the US, both these companies give great service.

Let us know how it works out for you. I have never tried it since I have always had HC110 available but it always nice to have options.

Freestyle (and every other online vendor AFAIK) only sells the newer 1 liter bottle of HC-110. I think Kodak discontinued the smaller bottles entirely. 1 liter is a pretty big glob of developer, you'd almost certainly have to offload it into smaller bottles for long term storage. I found a local place that still sells the smaller quantity and ended up buying 4 bottles from them.

Re 1 liter bottles of HC110 - my mode of storage is to squeeze the bottle after use to dispel as much air as possible, and only when it's less than 1/2 full do I need to transfer to a smaller container, however, YMMMV
I should add that I don't make up a stock solution but make my working developer directly from the concentrate

I bought the Legacy L110r in December of 2011, and I am still using it with great success. I dilute it just like HC110 and store it in beer bottle (It's a dark brown bottle that has a resealable top...not sure how to explain it but it's a German beer bottle like this one - http://tinyurl.com/ogwx8t3). I bought one of those baby medicine syringes and stuck some tubing on the end to extract if from the bottle.

I've had no problems with it at all.

I bought some L110 from Freestyle 6 months ago. I use the same dilutions as HC110. I haven't noticed any difference.

I store the concentrate in the original Freestyle bottle, but I use 'wine-preserver spray' and cap it tightly when not in use. There has been a slight discoloration around the top of the bottle but the concentrate still looks as-new.

If anything, I like the L110 concentrate because the solution is much less viscous than HC110, making it easier to measure and mix.

isn't L110R a replentisher? I didn't know it, or hc220r are usable as developers entirely on their own. maybe it shouldn't be a surprise.

I am currently using L110 and like it. I like it better than HC because it is less viscous and eaiser to measure the 10ml I use per 80 sq inches of film area. more or less.

I'm nearing the end of my first bottle, about 8 months, maybe 10. It's gotten kind of brown, but I have noticed no difference in activity.

HC, at least keeps a long time in syrup form.

Not related to L-110 but I keep my HC-110 in a ketchup squeeze bottle with the little plastic cap. It's easy to squeeze what I want into a small gradient and I don't worry much about oxygen since the surface area is so small.
