While I am confident that Kodak's film products will continue to be with us for a while, I couldn't help but feel a little nostalgic for the "Golden Age" of that once iconic product line. While Kodak's legacy will be the millions of images made with their products, here's a little tribute to the halcyon days when the term "Kodak" was synonymous for "camera."

Nice pictures ! They do really bring back those good old memories !
Hope Kodak will continue to exist for years to come.

I've got this on my darkroom wall, one of the few Kodak products in my darkroom anymore. I use HC-110, Indicator Stop and Rapid Selenium Toner. I also have some Brown Toner and a few packs of Hypo Clearing Agent- but I've replaced that with Permawash for general use. I was a big Selectol Soft and Microdol-X user till they went away. I've been using Moersch developers and Perceptol since.

My first permanent darkroom was pretty much completely stocked with Kodak chemistry and paper. I can only recall using Agfa Portrigia and Ilford Galerie for personal work- everything else was Kodak. Every developer, every film, and certainly all the paper we printed for clients on. That back-printing was expected.

This is great, but I have nostalgia for some of the old Kodak film: Verichrome, Ektachrome64 and X, PlusX, and whatever those films I used in the distant past that just said 'Safety Film,' and of course Elitechrome, and Kodachrome. Still the photos are great I still use a Duoflex and Brownie Hawkeye Flash.

My very first camera, bought when I was about 9 years old, was a Brownie Holiday. And, the film I used back then was Verichrome Pan 127. Still have pictures taken with that camera using that film in my photo albums from the olden days.

The New York World's Fair in 1965 was the highlight of my high school days. Went there for our senior class trip in 1965. Oh, the memories!
