There is a consensus that Kodak film prices are going up.
Would anyone know when is the jump expected to hit the big stores in the US?
I would like to buy a stock, but will be in the US only much later this year....

Prices have been increasing for ... as long as I have been using film. Are you talking about a large single-step increase? Is it documented, or assumed due to Alaris's new ownership?

Kodak Gold 400 (36 exp) just increased from 2.79 to 3.29. Time to try out some Agfa film. I hear it's rebranded Fuji.

Edit: found some on sale at a local shop and ordered 60 rolls. Need to free up some freezer space.

I work for a bulk lubricants distributor. We have most of the major brands for your car. June 1st is a price increase on motor oil. So are you going to stop buying oil for your vehicle? Just remember if you don't support Kodak don't complain when they stop making film.;)

Tri-X in 100ft. bulk rolls has increased from $70 to $100 in the last 3 months. I suppose a price increase will hit Kodak's pre spooled film soon.

One hundred dollars folks. That is one dollar per foot! Without the cartridges!

B&H has lowered the price of TMY-2 in 4x5 from $109.95 down to $99.94....Kodak is not adjusting the prices on their film, the retailers are, especially the gouging in the Far East.

I ran a price calculator---$1.59 in 1980 (about what I used to purchase film for back then) is about $4.57 today. Seems about right?

The price for bulk tri-x doesn't cease to puzzle me.
You have to pay 20% more NOT to have your TX already rolled

OTOH, Ilford has good deals in bulk...

I've used 30m bulk film in the past. How many 36exposure rolls did it give me? I can't recall.

Anyone try and buy a house in London lately? The price of film is peanuts. Seriously.

Forget London, slam house in Toronto is one million dollars in average now.

Were taxes on and for everything and gas price the same in terms of the total income?

Before 2003, in Russia where I didn't paid almost any taxes, I wouldn't care less how much this Kodak film costs.
Now, in soviet Ontario, my single income large family is taxed to the Polypan F affordability level.
