Kodak Regent repair seeking advice

Got a Regent camera like this one:

The distance wheel rotates well, but the rangefinder is not working (The 2 images inside the rangefinder window don't move accordingly.)

Does anyone know is it repairable? Is it easy to fix the problem?

I don't feel competent to work on rangefinders, and so have never tried. There are people in the forum who do so, and they may be able to provide advice. Assuming there are no broken parts, I would say it should be a problem of adjustment only, and doable, whether by you or a repairman. I don't know aobut the quality ot the camera, that should be a consideration. However, I would guess if Kodak was interested in pitting a rangefinder on, the quality should be OK.

I see no screw in the rangefinder, I don't know how to adjust it. It seems that the rangefinder system is disconnected with the focusing system.

Neither can I. It looks as if the pictures are no longer out there 'in the cloud', at least not in the original place 🙁 .

I've had two of these with C. Fallis for more than a year now...and they seem to be presenting the most problems of any folder I sent to him for repair/CLA. The main issue seems to be that the linkage is - at the same time - incredibly fragile (and yours is most likely broken)), and also requiring of very strong material. I'll write up my final thoughts on transacting with Charles later, but with the Regents, it was pretty clear he's been trying everything, even down to cutting up a razor blade to use for the linkage material. (The need being something very, very thin/small, but very strong...)

So...based on your description, I'd pop it open and take a look at the linkage first...
