Actually, you're going to laugh. This happened many years ago, I was living in Denver, CO!

I think we've talked about locations before - remember, I was born and raised in the cornfields of Illinois, moved to Denver about age 12, and relocated to Albuquerque in 2001. I moved to NC in 2004. Yahoo!

But I've found that idiots who will talk on cell phones in movie theaters can be found about anywhere.

I was at the Evergreen Cemetary in Gettysburg, and there was some chump talking on his cell phone while he toured the graves. No respect.

But I'm older now - I didn't put the habeus grabbus on him. I just died a little bit more inside.

It is an agreement amongst civilized not to use violence. Using a cellphone however in a movie theater IS a serious kind of violence, it is the abuse of the agreement, isn't it ? It's not far from pissing into another persons pants because you are too lazy to go to the toilet.

There is such an increase of cheeky, thoughtless and poorely educated egocentric or autisitic idiots to observe that sometimes you wonder how this society will end.

I was at the movies the other day, and it was driven to me how this begins. A kid would just not keep quiet through the first 20 minutes of the movie, talking to the screen; I thought "doesn't this kid have any parents?" He was sitting alone. Later the two parents arrived (apparently they had left to get popcorn/soda/etc). He was quiet. But the parents were no better: they laughed so annoyingly hard, and were commenting through parts of the movie.

I still go through culture shock; it's different everywhere, but you may agree that on many levels, one can see that "freedom" is often confused with egoism.
