Hi, Group!

I have a Retina IIa. The front lens element seems to be a bit cloudy. When I remove the front lenses from the body, then remove the front-most lens from the lens module, it seems that the cloudiness is within the lens that's encased in the brass fitting.

I can't determine whether there is one piece of glass in the the brass fitting or two pieces of glass.

I also don't know if the lenses are coated or not and if that cloudiness is the coating.

Do you know how many lenses are in the brass mount? If there're more than one, how can I separate the two?

Best regards,
Lenny

This is a cemented pair. If you try to separate them you will cause damage. The cloudiness is the old cement beginning to separate..

The cost to have it repaired is far more than it is worth..

You may be able to find a parts camera cheap and use the elements from it.
