Well-known
A while back I picked up a Retina IIa from a fellow RFF and have really enjoyed shooting with it. I would like to get in the picture myself sometimes (family shots) so here's my question:
Can I use a standard mechanical self timer that screws into the shutter release button with the Retina IIa?
The Kodak Retina IIa manual states:
"Kodak Auto-Release
. . . A delayed-action devise that trips the shutter about 10 seconds after it is set. It is used with the Kodak Metal Cable Release No. 5."
So, can I use a standard mechanical self timer or do I need to find a Kodak Auto-Release and the Kodak Metal Cable Release No. 5 to take self timer shots with the Retina IIa?
My Retina IIa is a Type 016 with Xenon f2/50mm and SYNCHRO COMPUR shutter.
Thanks,
Dave S.
