Kodak Retina IIc

Colyn did you go to the show today . Will ( shadowfox ) and I were there from 1to3 pm . Nice find .

No.. I found these cameras at a local flea market.

I'll probably go to the show tomorrow.

it has been a few years since my last visit. I was a little disappointed, but did manage to grab a couple of lens and Will managed to spend a little money as well.

got a few toys himself

The last couple of years the show has not been that good and when you do find something the price is usually more than it's worth..

You don't know how good you have it. Flea markets! In January!

I still have two, three months to go without yard sales. The GAS attacks are getting worse. Pretty soon, I'll be forced to actually take/develop photos to take my mind off it.

It was in the 50's today and is expected to be warmer tomorrow.

The interesting thing is I wasn't even looking for cameras. Instead I was looking for items to set up and photograph a miniature setting..

Nice find by the way...

Thanks...

Nice find.

Nice find.

Colyn, great find. I have a IIc and really prize it, it's a little gem and I don't mind one bit that it's a bottom wind. In fact it is kinda nice once you get a rhythm for shooting and winding. I really enjoy the images from the Xenon 2.8 and like its rendition more than the Xenon 2.0 of the Retina IIa which I also have. Good luck with yours and post 'em when you get 'em.

I've already shot a roll through it and will run a couple more tomorrow.

Next week I'm going to buy some leather to make a carry strap..

Had a rendezvous with a friend today for a cup of coffee and some shallow camera chat. My friend had a user IIc in his pocket which he was about to sell. Well... I think you can guess what happened. It's a Rodenstock Heligon 50mm/2.8. A great lens they say.

I got myself one two days ago (with the Rodenstock 50/2.8).

My first meterless camera, but to my surprise, every shot of that Superia 200 roll was exposed well, and every exposure scanned nicely :)

That Rodenstock lens is actually quite the surprise. Superb resolution, even close to wide open (f4 I think).

sexy :)

got mine back from Chris Sherlock who did a CLA. The viewfinder is now actually usable :)

I got a pre-war Retina back from Mr. Sherlock last week, and the viewfinder is now so clear I first had to look closely if the glass was still in there. :D

My Ib was my favourite Retina for a long time because how easy it it to use, but when I feel I need the rangefinder I use my IIc with the Heligon 2,8/50. It's truly a gem!

Will you now be looking for the wide and tele lenses? You'll need the accessory finder, and the lenses are cumbersome to use, but they are very sharp. :D
