Kodak Tech Pan to be discontinued

According to a pre-discontinuation letter these are the time-frames for discontinuing Kodak's Professional Technical Pan film:

Dec, 2004: 120 format

April, 2005: 135 and long roll format

June, 2005: 4x5 and 8x10 sheets

I'm still using rolls of Pan-F I loaded from bulk in December 1983... processed negs look good! Buy up a 20-year supply of Tech Pan? And the special developer?

Discontinuing Tech-Pan doesn't bother me...

...but if they kill off HIE High Speed Infra-Red, ohhh I going to have some "strong" words with Kodak NZ.

The one kodak film that could make me cry if it got discontinued is Tri-X

i'm guessing that tri-x just might be the last film standing when all is said and done.

I love Tech Pan. I guess I'll buy a couple of 150 foot rolls. That should do me for a couple of decades.
