I bought a $2 camera at a thrift store a few days ago (mainly for the plush case that fit the $1 Yashica T4 I also found that day 😎 ), but was also loaded with film.

Turns out it's a new roll of "Kodak Ultima 100", Kodak says it's "a color negative film that is tailor-made specifically for Indian photographers and the Indian market" and "Specially adapted skin-tone reproduction"

Don't know how it got to be in a Wisconsin thrift store, but since only a couple frames were shot on this roll, I'm considering taking it out of the Samsung Vino and putting it behind some better glass!

Never tried pulling an alread-started roll of film out of a camera. Any thoughts?

Simple, just open it up in a dark bag and rewind it by hand leaving the end still out. Be sure to note what frame it was used up to on the samsung and just put the lens cap on and shoot "blank" frames in the next camera so you don't double expose the already exposed shots.

If you don't have a proper dark bag just use a black garbage bag in the bathroom with the lights off.

edit: OH and assuming this film is probably old I'd expose it on the next camera by an extra stop.

Thanks, sounds pretty simple indeed. I'll post an update in a month or two when I get it developed. Should be interesting to see how it handles pasty midwestern skin tones and fall colors.
