Kodak Ultra Color 400

Thanks everyone for the info and examples. I am scanning the results from today. I only shot the one roll but it is a start. I will be going back there so I have time. The only thing is I will not have access to Al Unser Jr's F-1 car for about 6 months. It is going to a movie set in a coouple of days.

Well, I have been scanning steady and have some of the results. Unfortunatly I have not had time to do some cleanup of the scans but I think that you get the general idea. This is my first photographic foray into this hanger and one of the few times that I have used color film. Color negative print film as well.

Check these out for starters:

Interesting article and a good read. The really was not all that great in the hanger. I was shooting at 1/125 and the lens was all the way open at f2. Scanning the images at 16 bits per channel helped in doing the adjustments later. I think that they will clean up rather well. I use Viewscan for all my scanning and there is no profile for Kodak UC film in Viewscan. I selected one of the other profiles and completed about 3/4's of scan work when I decided that the images I was getting did not have that color saturated look to them. I then switched the settings to Generic film and that is when I got the good color saturation that I was looking for. I did not use any of viewscans cleaning settings. To my eyes that stuff dumbs down the sharpness of an image too much. I will put some more up later tonight.
