The Koni Omega is a very, very nice camera. I have the 200 model, and I'm happy with the abilities of the system, specially considering its price.
There is however one problematic part: the back.
First, it's probably the most fragile part. I have two of them, and getting them working was expensive and complex, and after two trips to Greg Weber, one of them is still only partly in order.
But even assuming They are perfect, there seems to be a design flaw that I can't understand:
among all interlocks, there is nothing locking the film advance from moving back and forth freely in your bag. It means that If you are not extremely careful, you will probably end up with serious offset between some pictures and the last picture partly out of the film.
I don't know if the designer simply assumed that the users would quickly run a whole roll through the camera, but it really a strange flaw....
I am thinking how to secure the back when not in use. If someone has an idea, feel free to share it here...

I guess no love for Koni Omega eh? I had never heard of problems with the backs, only the film advance. But what I had heard was it was fragile and subject to failure. Maybe it was what you are mentioning. A low tech ugly solution might be duct tape. It might not look neat, but should do the job.

I do love the beast.
I am just amazed about what appears to me as a serious design flaw.
Without any kind of advance locking, you could just run the film through the camera without taking any pictures. While this sounds totally dumb, it it much easier to partially advance the film by mistake, and thus to have an unwanted offset on film.
I just processed a roll with the last picture falling out of the film, apparently due to this issue.:bang:
