this lens is on my camera for a six months - it is sharp and has wery nice bokeh, maybe better than 50/2 version. I dont like two things - flare in backlight and built quality. it think not-collapsible version is preferable. And the shade of chrome color does not match my leica m3

That's pretty expensive, even the one Gary just bought.
I would rather buy the new CV limited.

The lens hood with the Matsuiyastore sale is the proper lens hood for an L-Hexanon 35mm f2.0 (the Hexar AF lens screw mount edition).
I bought the 35mm from them some time ago, and they told me they had no lens hood with it. Now, it turns op with a 50mm lens, that's just great :bang:

There is one on sale right now here.
Wow - that one is nearly double of what it should be!

While I agree that its more expensive than it should be - I wouldnt go for a CV limited. I used to have their limited set in black - R2M with 50/2 Heliar. While Heliar is very very well made - it's glass just doesnt come close to Hexanon - thats why I sold it. So, I'd rather just wait till a better priced Hex came along.

Even though, as earlier stated, I decided to stick with my modern Elmar, this lens is very attractive. I just can't see any reason to pay over $400 for one though.
It would be nice to see more pics though...

Actually, the member cited above has it listed for 860. I figured 700 was around msrp retail-- supply and demand, I suppose.

It is in SGD dollars. So you divide by 1.4.

Camera West (http://camerawest.com) has a 50mm f/2.4 collapsible for $695, boxed. (search hexanon, and it should bring up the listing.)
