Konica made one very neat, fast, and well made half-frame, with fantastic glass; think it was called AA , I'll try to find it - sharpest lens I ever used.....

Konica AA-35? I see it on ebay, but not so often. Fully automatic with built in flash, right?

Perhaps, I just got one, put through test roll, and seems that overexposing one fstop helps (thanks to ISO dial, which I miss on Epic). Test roll were el cheapo GRAIN400 from trashbin, so I'll try with slower and sharper film.
I have to admit, that even I will not shoot tons of HF, I love how it's designed and operates. Btw it darn fast - I shot serie with passing cars and most of them are taken before they fully enter frame - I operated like I do with Epic. Non-moving lens on AA35 matters !

Had one of these some years ago but the quality of the shots were very poor. maybe I got a bad one but sold it again a little later.

It looks so cool! In domestic market in Japan, it's under the name "Konica Recorder".
There's also a beautiful red version.

Hard to believe it's an oldie from 1984... I'd have bought one if it is not so hard to find.

Daniel, week after I got mine I saw another one going off for US$5 equivalent !!! My heart cried, though I were rock-strong not to bid, 'cause I wanted to get another stuff I don't have yet.
I can just agree - worth having just because how it's constructed.

UPD:
btw, can anyone look at manual (or give a link to online free manual, yet have to find one) - some sources say that AA35/Recorder has passive AF, though I'm not pretty sure. I just forgot to shoot through window to see if it locks on glass or goes further.
