Hi,
My first time posting here ...I got a S2 off of eBay that looked real good except for the light seals. I got a seal kit from Jon Goodman (thanks Jon) & fixed that & also got a Wein cell...I've got a roll of film in it right now that I've been taking pics in Manual mode (sunny 16), but I'd like to use the meter if possible...I have already checked out the cell to make sure that was not the problem so what I' like to know is if anyone else has had a metering problem & what they did to fix it...Is there a common problem that maybe I have not seen elsewhere?...BTW, ther was no corrosion in the battery compartment...Thanks in advance for any insight!!

Thanks for the quick response G'man...I took the bottom plate off & no problem there, connections were fine....Out of curiousity, I bent the contacts up & put the battery back in & Viola!!! It's working now!!!...Thanks again for your quick response & prodding my mind...

Hi,
A common prblem is not contact with the battery but on the changeover switch within the body of the battery housing. Although the battery compartment doesn't show any corrosion, this contact gets very dirty. To access it, you have to take the battery holder apart. If it has gone once, it is likely to go again.
