I am trying to fix up a recent find. It looks like some one took a pair of pliers to the top plate. The accesary shoe is torn off and the re-wind lever is missing. I will need a top plate for sure. This is my first S2 and I'm not sure how the re-wind lever is attached. There is a shaft with a washer and another washer with ears and a nut holding it together. I don't know if the lever sits on top of that or whether the whole assembly is supposed to be one piece. The inside and the lens glass look good. I don,t know about the shutter since I can't cock it. I haven't replaced the battery yet so don't know about the meter. If I can get the parts or a Donor camera cheap enough I will try a complete CLA. If not I will sell it as a donor camera for some one else's Project. Information on repair welcome.
