I bought a C35 a few weeks ago...VERY clean, no rotted seals, clean glass, shutter cycles, etc...

Problem is, it seems stuck at f6.3 at 1/250th, no matter what variables I induce. I switched batteries a couple times, pointed it at variations of light and darkness, and nothing changes. The meter doesn't seem to deflect at all, except for the SLIGHT movement when the shutter locks the needle just prior to release. I popped the top, but am too unfamiliar with this camera to start poking around. Everything looks clean and un-corroded, though. "B" function works fine.

Any ideas?

TIA!

Don, Hi, two things, one pop the bottom. It is much easier than the top. Look at the wires that go to the battery, if they are corroded, well, don't try to solder them, PM me. But I don't think that is the problem, because you would be shooting at, I think 1/30. If the CDS cell is gone a bigger problem, that requires removing the front plate which is not, again, that hard, but be careful. I would not try to solder a new one in again. PM me because I might have some parts that might help you.

Hi!

I knew somebody would have a handle on the potential problems. I'll take off the bottom, see what I can see, then give you a PM.

Best!
Don
