Konica C35

Pleather, must be the same "stuff " my OLY Pen-ee uses.Hurry, Hurry ! It looks like leather. .. ... it feels like leather, but NO! Thru the miracle of science it's PLEATHER! Ah this modern age we live in.

Another option is to buy one of those plastic craptastic cameras with the fancy name that go for a dollar down at the Goodwill store, and use the case from it. If it wears out too fast, just buy another.

Got mine and it works, though the rewind lever is broken (didn't say so in the ad), and the first thing when looking through the viewfinder I thought to myself, is there a way of un-tinting the glass, why is it blueish?

I must've put at least 10 rolls through it already, joy to use. Anybody got any advice for a small compact flash that will look good on it ? Thanks.

The original flash was the X-14, but good luck finding one of those. Any of the flashes from the different compact cameras should work fine (Olympus PS200, Minolta Electroflash P), or as a step up, something in the range of a Sunpak 1600 or Yashica CS-15.

I also have the "pleather" bag... don't use it at all//

I wander also if a 1/2 case was ever offered?

I was lucky, my one and only C35 just needed a RF adj, the meter works and is spot on... I use 675 Zink Air bats in it

I have a nice working model. This was my second camera, way back in 1977. I traded it along with a BB gun and a small telescope for some albums and I can't remember what else.

It's a friendly Cosina-made camera and roughly identical to the Vivitar 35CA, which I also have (and also made by Cosina).

I have three or four of the little Konicas waiting to be serviced, including a black one.

I have 6 Konica C35s in various states of disrepair. The only one with a working meter is my C35V, the rest are dead. ALL of them, including my V, have stuck shutters. I have one black model with a broken rangefinder window (RF still works), but again this camera suffers the same as the rest. If anyone would like one or two or all of them just post here in this thread or PM me cuz I'd gladly give them away to a home that could fix them and use them! Cheers.

Shoot, Andy, with six of them, you could get into the wonderful world of fixing your own. It's a nice diversion on a rainy day.

It sure is a nice diversion... I just fixed mine that I bought for a song at a flea market two years ago. Re-wired the battery compartment, re-sealed the door, re-tensioned the return spring for the frame counter, and decided to skip re-animating the B-setting. All I need to do now is to shoot a test roll...

I'm pretty stoked about this fix as an RF-equipped C35 has remained elusive for ages, never mind one that works. I don't now how that's possible as it seems to be popular enough, but still. The wiring quality seems to be worse than average, as a re-wire seems to be a common fix...

My first C35EF3 (basically, scale focus version of C35 in different body and 5 element lens modification) had bad CdS cell, two subsequent work OK. They take regular AA cells - which is good from availability point of view and bad is they may leak when left in camera. Only drawback is missing hot shoe, though, but it's great variation of C35.
