Konica hexar and nikon sb20

Hi

Just got an sb-20 flash to use with my hexar.

Can anyone give me some tips on getting the best from the pair? Does the hexar use the ttl mode on the nikon (obviously using the cameras meter not actually through the lens)

Also, do i just use the flash how i would with a nikon camera. As in, the setting on the back for manual mode? And how do i change the output of the flash to compensate? Change the aperture on camera/flash?
