Last year I managed to buy a used Hexar RF kit in box for a good price, I sent it off for a service and it went to Sony in Germany (They now hold all the spares having purchased Konica & Minolta). The cost of the service was £65 through Johnsons Photopia in UK, imagine my surprise when my camera or should I say a replacement model that was unused was sent back to me.
The electronics on the original were shot so they replaced it, since then I have put 1 film through it to test it works ok - it does!

I am considering selling this kit which includes body, 50mm f2 Hexanon lens and flash unit plus full instructions in the original presentation case (the rear hinge on the presentation case is shot but it still holds together and is nicely presented).

So we have a camera body replaced by Sony last year, 1 film put through it (paperwork to this effect from Sony), lens in mint condition with UV filter and a flash that looks brand new.

What sort of price should I be selling this kit for, I have seen similar kits for sale in UK with used Hexar RF's and they are rare as hens teeth and sell for around £1100.00.

I don't need it as I use my M6 TTL for all my analogue work.

Sensible suggestions please, thanks.

As usual, search completed auctions on ebay and see what it would sell for at KEH. One sure way to get feedback on price is place a for sale ad here on RFF. If your price is too high, you won't get any interest and you'll know.

Body with 50 F2 in good condition has been going for less than £500. I sold my Hexar RF body recently for £275. The 50 F2 goes for around £200 on its own. I think your figure of £1100 is well outside of market value, but you never know.

As Gid says - £1100 is way too high. I'd agree with a price between £500 and £600.

I was looking at one of these before I got the R2m+50/2 kit - this is about the price I'd expect.

Thanks everyone for the advice.
I think that I will hang onto it for the time being, save up and see if I can get a reasonable trade in for it against an M8 when I can afford one.

Well you have to live in hope don't you.
