I love the HRF and I've recently bitten the bullit and aquired a HRF set that includes the 28mm and the 90mm, but it hasn't arrived as yet; I can't wait!
BTW, there is a guy in the classifieds, page 2 or 3 that has a HRF body for sale.
Cheers Andrew.

Appreciate your input

My only gripe with the Hexar RF was the apparent shutter lag. It didn't feel as immediate as my Leica.
A beautiful camera otherwise.

here's a fun auction to watch. 90mm m-hexanon's usually go for $300-350, but this one's already at $735.

That $4k HRF limited kit has been reposted a number of times. HERE is one in Australia that might go for a reasonable price. I am SOOOO tempted! I have been lusting after that 50/1.2 since it came out.
RE: Andrew & Dante's comments on batteries - what if our Hexars outlive CR2 production? They will be a little harder to find a substitute for than the 625 was.
Cheers! - John

I doubt you'll see CR2 batteries disappearing any time soon. There's enough of a variety of products that use them to assure their viability for quite some time (and I've seen some battery types for sale that even I thought had disappeared eons ago).foto_fool said:RE: Andrew & Dante's comments on batteries - what if our Hexars outlive CR2 production? And it pays to keep an extra set around. Being lithium-type, they have a crazy-long shelf life.

CR2 is the new AA. Can't imagine them going out of production in my lifetime. And like Barrett says, strange little batteries that are used in nothing I've ever owned are all over the rack at my local drugstore- I even found the 1/3N's for my M7's there one day- and what else uses those?

A long shelf life for lithium batteries, you bet. In the late "80's I bought a second hand Bronica EC which had a lithium battery to power the shutter. Must have taken the battery out at some stage when I moved house and didn't use the camera for some time. A few months back I was cleaning out an old camera bag and what did I find in the bottom, a little battery. Working out it could only be for the Bronica, I stuck it in and after nearly 20 years she still worked.

And sometimes a long working life too. I just replaced the original battery in my first G2, after four years and A LOT of films run through it. I wish the M7 batteries would last longer- I get only 22 rolls per set.
