Konica Hexar Rhodium

A friend has one. It's never been used. I'm either going to buy it or sell it here. I had a black one years ago, sold it, and regretted later. Parts and repairs are a major factor. I alreday have a Konica RF which needed a repair a few years ago and it had to go to Sony in Tokyo. What's the current repair situation on both cameras? I would never have bought the Rhodium, its just too fancy, (wooden box, leather bag, brown leatherette), and I don't like data backs, but here it is, dropped in my lap.

I'm a Hexar fan but still I'd sell an unused Rhodium to a collector, buy a used black Hexar for everyday use and keep the rest of the money.

I wrote this in another thread earlier this year:

"The old Konica repair shop (different owner these days; I believe it's owned by Kenko now) is still servicing the Hexar AF and RF. I had my Hexar AF serviced in Japan last summer (erratic shutter release; they also adjusted AF and did some cleaning) thanks to Japan Exposures. No problems at all."

^^^ What he said. (Unless you like/want the Rhodium camera, of course.) It seems to me that everyone wins that way. You get a user camera (if that's what you really want) and some cash to buy some film and go somewhere to use it. A camera collector gets a camera they want (I'm assuming there's a market: people talk as if there is) in tip-top collectible condition.
