Konica II

I hope I raise my grandkids well enough to use and appreciate my stuff.

The Konica II looks a lot different than my dad's Konica I which I have, use and appreciate.

Wayne: The Konica II is an excellent camera with full manual exposure control and a very sharp lens. It is one of my favorite cameras.

Same here for my Konica I. My Scots father bought the 3.5 version instead of the 2.8. Otherwise, it is a stellar performer. I have the case AND instructions!

venchka, while I do see your point, one has to sometimes choose which items to keep and which to let go.

I just sold my grandpa's EOS 620 and 850 bodies. But I kept the Yashica Electro 35 and Olympus OM1n. 😉

Since that guy is not a photographer, his grandpa may have well preferred that it go to someone who would appreciate it, albeit a closer relation than would be found on ebay...

My grandpa is the kind of guy who doesn't get sentimental attachments to things. If he's not using it, and it's worth something, it's only a matter of time, hehehe.

I do that. When dad passed away he had two cameras: The Konica I and a Pentax 105 Zoom P&S. The Pentax is a really neat little camera. Full of features and a very nice 38-105 lens. I ran several rolls of film throuh it. At Christmas I passed it along to my 9 y.o. granddaughter. When she's ready, I'll teach her how to use the Konica I and a hand held meter. I'm trying to keep the tradition alive. 🙂
