Just realized release button "resets" if pushed for a little, say 1mm, and then not depressed fully. After that release button can not be depressed until wound again (wasted frame), or shutter is released by nail directly on lens barrel (like on Konica I).

So I have to be very confident about shot and depress only when I'm sure about "gestalt". Wanted to check if this is OK on model III or mine has to be adjusted?

Thank you in advance!

I've had that occur with my IIIA since it was serviced, but I suspect that it's due to the shutter release linkage needing further adjustment, rather than this being intended behaviour of the camera.

'tis a pity, because in all other respects the IIIA is an absolute peach of a camera.

ZeissFan, I were about shutter releae, right.

Thanks ruby, I were sure such camera were not designed this way. As I have III without A (read - without dream 1:1 VF), Ricoh FON easily can replace KIII, they are of same breed.

Mine does that too. Have not had it for more than a couple of months, so I don´t know if it was born that way

On my Konica lll the shutter release can be pushed down a bit before tripping the shutter ..at least 1 mm or more ...

mine also has travel. Point is - when I trip release button but don't release shutter and remove finger, button comes out though after pressing it again shutter does not releases.
