my IIIM locked with the winder lever stuck half way (when i point the lens to the sky)
have to send it to the professional...:bang:
will get it back by the end of October (that usually means early November in the repairman's world)

If started to use III (pictures with tags on my flickrstream) but need to sort out issue with release button - when slightly depressed (but not fully) - it locks and shutter can't be released other ways than by moving small cog on lens barrel. I've read other people have had this too.

Possibly similar, my IIIA has an unfortunate habit of resetting the shutter if I'm anything less than forthright in pressing the release button.
It's not a flaw, it's 'character'.![]()
I've formulated this as "you either shoot or not"

Probably plate under bottom cover has came off it's position. I spent a day or two until figured out how to put it back properly. Maybe issue with release trigger can be resolved, dive it there once more....

Well, I have acquired the III. It's mine now. Mine, mine, mine. Lol.
The thing is, this camera has so much, I don't know, presence?
Character? I just don't know... but I love it.
It's smooth, quiet, solid tactility makes it my current favorite fixed lens RF.

The Konica III is a very special camera, Helen, and so are the IIIA and IIIM.

While having -20C on outskirts of Europe I opened my III and adjusted mechanism so it allows now some play with release button. Basically you either have very short release travel and no rollback or longer travel release and some space for press-and-rethink. After adjustment release is still much shorter and otherwise better than on KAS2, GSN and other FL RF's with built-in AE.
