Hello All,

I have a Konica lll - the one with the shutter cocking/film wind lever around the lens - should this lever be spring returned.

The camera works well and is very well made but the wind feature is a puzzle as I have to return the lever manually after each stroke and I have the feeling it should be spring assisted.

The lens is an f2/48mm Hexanon in Seikosha 1 - 1/500th shutter.

Your help would be much appreciated.

My brother had a IIIA (as far as I recall) 40+ years ago. I tried it a few times and I'm 99% sure I remember that it should return with a spring. Gorgeous camera, superb lens!

Cheers,

R.

Thank Roger for the info. Yes I guess it makes sense that it should be spring assisted I'll have to get out the tools.

The Konica III, IIIA and IIIM have superb lenses. The A and the M have also a 100% amazing VF that is better than that of a Leica M.
