Konica "off-road" Wide 28

I recently picked up this camera, but when I try to load the film, the motor whirls, but the film never catches onto the take-up spool. Can't imagine I'm doing anything wrong, am I?

It has not so visible mark where film must be placed exactly.

From Street Sale event earlier this month.
This time with "normal" coded canister for Ilford FP4 film.

Camera needs prefocusing, recomposing to get what you want in focus if it isn't in the middle.
For auto rewind it is quiet camera.

....and there you have the perfect car for the camera, along with a Nikonos I in the glovebox.

Great images, Kostya.

Thank you, Robert!

This camera required prefocusing if recomposing on short distances and despite sometimes vignetting it is good for 28mm lens. :)

I found one of these in a "junk bin" for 1,000 yen while in Japan.
Just my first roll through it. Definitely like the output. Focusing is quite accurate and it's definitely sharp enough given the price I paid for it. Here are a couple shots taken with Fujifilm Superia 400.
