I just bought a Konica S on the internet that is still working according to the seller.
Actually I don't know too much about this camera, I can only find info about the S2, all S info on the net is Japanese. Does anybody know this camera. I read on the net that the S2 has a pretty sharp lens, ans I figured out that for 15 euros for the Konica S I would't risk too much. What more can I say....the only thing I know is that it has a f/2.0 lens.

I have two of them. Just finished fixing one up and am restoring the second one.
It is the immediate predecessor model to the S2. Different lens, but the biggest difference is the exposure meter which has its photocell located in the body and not in the lens mount. The buiult-in meter is a dual range Sekonic.
Given their age they were in pretty good condition. Both of mine had stuck diaphragm blades but usuable shutter blades. Unscrew the front two lens elements, add a drop of ethanol to the diaphragm blades to unstick them.
Haven't tested the working one yet.

Konica made some very sharp lenses. They just never got the press of the Nikon, Canon, Minolta and Olympus lenses. Yashica was in the same boat with their Yashinon line of lenses for that matter, as some on this forum can attest.

I can attest that indeed! Last week I bought a Lynx 14E + flash in good condition for 30 euros (35 dollar ?).

I bought a "S" with a 48mm F1.8. Its in good working order & I like the feel of the camera in my hands, its slightly smaller than the Auto S2. I ran a roll of kodak 400CN b&w thru it & the images are very sharp & contrasty. I used a handheld meter and the sunny 16 rule. Have fun with camera
