Hi Everyone,
This is my first post so be gentle with me! 🙂
I recently picked up a nice cosmetic condition Konica S2 at a Flea Market for $5.
However, this shutter was stuck and the rangefinder mirror had popped off.
I got the mirror back on with Pliobond and calibrated the rangefinder, and after several attemtps, got the shutter moving all the time, not just when it was lubricated with lighter fluid. (was originally sticking when it would dry up again - so I cleaned it gently with a q-tip and kept exercising it, seemed to do the trick).
Anyway, on to my question. I'm completely new to taking apart old camera, so yesterday when I was troubleshooting my light meter which suddenly stopped working since I first disassembled it, a little small lever fell out from the lens assembly, and I can't identify where it came from!
I didn't have it stripped down very far, so I'm hoping someone could identify this part without a photo, as I dont have it with me now to take a picture.
I had the following removed: The lens nameplate, the front optics, the lens barrel, displaying all the inner workings of the shutter/aperture mechanics etc.
After this, there is a top plate that just lifts off freely. I had then turned the camera around (lens down) to open the back, and a little lever fell out. For the life of me I cannot see where it came from.
I looked at many images of the camera on forums that were stripped down to where I have mine and I cannot see this little lever anywhere. Does it have something to do with the aperture as the aperture blades are no longer moving when I adjust the aperture ring.
The following is a picture borrowed from the web, and not my own, but this is where I had it down to, with the very top circular plate also removed as it lifts off freely.

I will post a photo when I get home later, but meanwhile I was hoping this sounded obvious to one of the more experienced members! 🙂
Thanks in advance!

This part goes under plate which is on top in your first picture. Central pin down and another pin not visible, clicks through speed detents between 1 and 4:30

This is how I remember this. It's little tricky to put on top plate (how it's called properly, anyone?) and keep speed click bar in place, but doable - at least, after several tries. This is very easy compared to putting back apereture blades in proper order.

You can check - without this bar installed speeds change without clicks.

P.S. And - this better fits Repair subforum, so don't be surprised when mods move this off general discussions 🙂 They are here trying to keep this place tidy and organized.
