Long time lurker, first time posting.

Picked up a Konica Auto S3 from a local charity shop for $20. The battery compartment wiring is fried, and the rewind lever is missing. To my layman's eye, it looks as if everything else is working correctly.

Regardless, I'm looking to have it CLA'd, and the name I see again and again is Greg Weber. The service seemed a bit expensive (I was quoted $155 to $235), but I'd like to get the S3 back into primo operating condition and I'm not confident in my soldering/repair skills.

So, is Greg Weber my go-to guy? Are there others out there doing quality Konica rangefinder repairs/CLA's?

Greg Weber is the guy to deal with. Yes, not cheap but this is the case when money asked covers what is delivered. He even fetched aperture blades unique to this variety of model III (models sold in USA had different blades from ones sold in Japan) from Japan through his channels.

Can't say on others as haven't dealt with other Konica repairmen.

For those who are interested, I sent the camera to Frank Marshman (aka Camera Wiz) in Harrisonburg VA. He repaired the battery compartment, CLA'd the camera, replaced the rewind lever, and resealed the body for $62 total. Turnaround time was 10 days. Seems pretty reasonable to me and the work looks good.
