Konica TC-X Meter problem – Manual aperture not working as it should

Stay a while and listen!

My TC-X TTL meter works fine on 'AE', shutter priority. But when manually selecting aperture, the needle still work the same way as on shutter priority which it's not supposed to do according to the manual. Adjusting the aperture does nothing to the needle inside the viewfinder as if the lens still was set to 'AE', why?

The TTL metering is probably the same on a Autoreflex TC, anyone that has encountered this problem on one of those are also very welcome to answer.
