I dropped my Konica off yesterday to get the rangefinder adjusted. Yesterday had some pretty good weather (overcast but with good light). I dropped some Acros in my M2, wanting to go around and shoot with my new C/V 35, but it is a pain to shoot 35 with an M2. I wear glasses, and this temporary loss has shown me just how much of a joy the Konica RF is to use.

I miss you baby. Come home soon.

Odd, the M2 is designed to use the 35 focal length.

I can't see the framelines when I have my glasses on. With the Konica, I can see them perfectly (however, I can't see the framelines for 28mm. No loss, I don't have one.)

Yes, even without glasses, I can just barely see the left and right sides of the M2's 35mm frame, and then mostly in peripheral vision. When I try to examine one side more closely, I lose the other. With glasses, I have become used to moving my eye back and forth when I think it necessary to control the sides more closely; otherwise I just "wing it" in the best RF tradition. 😀

I can easily see the whole 28mm frameline of the Minolta CLE despite the silly positioning of the shutter speed scale and diodes at the left, better placed I think top or bottom as in the Contax G. But then the viewfinder magnification of the CLE is only 0.6x vs the M2's 0.72x and this makes its 90mm frame more difficult.

I am anxious to see the Zeiss-Ikon... with 0.74x AND 28mm hopefully-visible frames, wow.

The konica is a delight with wider angle lenses, but I rarely use my 90 on it at anything less than f/4. When I start finally seeing the ZI's here, I'm sure it will prompt a terrible desire to own it. What's wrong with another month of ramen?
