Received my Kowa Super 66 from Igor's Camera today. Years ago my camera of choice was a Hasselblad 1000F or a Mamiya C3. When I realized I couldn't change the world with a camera I switched to carrying a Retina IIa or a Ikonta III. After a decade and a half or so of those two cameras the weight of the Kowa was a bit of a shock.

Medium format system cameras certainly will be heavier than 35mm cameras. Take some well exposed photos and see if the prints please you more than those from 35mm cameras. If so, you just have to put up with the extra weight for the extra negative real estate, or stick with 35mm.

I don't like the weight either, but when I want that larger negative, I have to figure something out.

I've been 'shooting' a 25 print cityscape series for around thirty years now. Considering my age I decided I better pick up a camera and and actually do it with film while I still have the ability.
