I saw this recently and was impressed with his skill. Another famous movie type who was deeply into photography was Yul Brynner. His daughter has published a couple of books of his works.

IMO, Yul Bryner is nowhere in the same league as Kubrick as a photographer; but very good and interesting historically nonetheless.
