I just completed re-covering my Minolta XD-11 (I know, I know!) with a kit from cameraleather.com and I just wanted to say that I'm very pleased! 🙂 I bought the camera and the winder kit, everything fit PERFECTLY!

If this is typical of Mr. Sparks work then I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend buying from him! Good Stuff!

Mike 😀

It took about a week. They say it depends on the camera, I guess they don't really keep much of anything in stock they cut it when you order. If it takes any longer, it is well worth the wait. What kind of cover did you get?

Mike 😀

I debated between the alligator print and the black lizard.. I really wanted the alligator, but since all my lenses are black, I ultimately went with the lizard

I found Morgan @ Cameraleather great to deal with as well. I've bought a couple of kits that fitted very well.

Here are a couple of pic's of my cobra covered FED2 😎

JoeFriday,
Did you see the black ostrich? He has a copy on his website that makes me lust after a M3 just to get it covered in black or tan ostrich. Out here in the west, we wear ostrich boots for dress up, that last was a joke. I wear sandals most of the time.

Here's a look at my M3 with some of Mr Sparks' product attached - quite frankly it fits better than the leather on the brand new a la carte MP that's over at Southeastern Camera.

I've bought two kits from him, one for my Contax SLR and one for my Canonet GIII. Both were perfectly cut and took about five minutes to install.

I've also cut and installed my own leather...THAT took all day!

I looked at the ostrich wraps when I first thought about replacing the vulcanite.. pretty cool stuff.. I don't remember why I ruled it out 🙄
