Hello,
please have a look and hopefully enjoy pictures from my last trip to Japan in October 2013.
I made a daily blog of the trip, but here you see the images and headlines only, because all the text was in german. And since it was pretty much text, I removed it for better viewing here.
It is a mix of street photography, nature and others.
I had only my M240 with me and a Zeiss Ikon ZM as a backup, which I never needed. Most images were done with the current 50mm Summilux, some with the 35mm Sumilux FLE, and very few with 90mm Summicron and 28mm Elmarit.

Kroetenblender,
Wonderful! I was in Kyoto for the first time last spring and your photographs really capture the area well, at least from the perspective of a traveler. Excellent shots! Seeing these photos bring back many good memories
Could you also post the URL of your blog? I don't read German very well but could easily have google translate. I'd like to read your thoughts on what you saw.
Thanks,
Mark

Thank you! These Japan photos I found very alive and interesting.
They were successful in reviving memories I have from living and working in Japan (all too briefly) about 30 years ago.

I have some questions about the trip, maybe they are answered in your blog.

Thank you so far, I also have many memories to that trip. I made many more pictures there, but I'm still not through processing them...
I have restored the original texts of the blog. If you have questions about the photos or places, you can also ask of course. I think, the text is not so easy to understand for non-native-speakers, and google translate, well...

The texts are not really needed to understand the photos, I think. But if you have questions, just ask.

Those were very nice to view and brought back many memories, as my son and I took a photo trip to Kyoto a few years ago.
Also thank you, makes me happy, that you like them. Yours have mostly a very different character, more "quiet", I would say. Some of them I do really like, especially the one of the bridge in the first set is pretty impressive.
In April I'm back in Japan. Some time after, the next set will be available.
