LA Times is running a photo competition as part of their Festival Of Books. The prize money is, well, zero. But if you 'win' you get your name in their flyer, your pic shown at the event, and this little nugget:
"I grant the Los Angeles Times forever the right to use, display, broadcast, and sublicense in any way, including but not limited to, for promotional purposes on Los Angeles Times digital properties and at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, the photo uploaded, my name, the description, and any other content I provide. I verify that the content in the photo uploaded, and all other content I provided, is my own and I have permission from all parties depicted within the photo to display the photo for any purpose. I agree to the Los Angeles Times terms and conditions "
p.s that also is the consolation prize for all entries...
