Last but not least, a great book because it shows that even photographers considered masters take lots and lots of insignificant and dull shots. It makes them appear less like gods and more like yourself (with all due respect for Daido, who's indeed one of my photography idols)

I think the title is quite clever as well. It could be labyrinth as in city or as in the pathways and folds of the mind.

In my opinion the biggest loss to photography (and those that study, participate and enjoy it) since the rise of digital is the contact sheet.

It strips away any myth and bullsh*t on the part of either the photographer or the viewer. It was probably the most invaluable thing I ever studied in college and when I first started working.

Thanks for the link, this may very well be my next photo book purchase.

No problem Michael, I have more loupes knocking around the place than I (well, my wife in all honesty) knows what to do with.

I assume the book is laid out as either one page per contact sheet or, perhaps the occasional, double page spread as one contact sheet?

He`s mixed old with new Simon....the well known stuff with the unreleased so broadly might be the best answer.
