I also posted this on the largeformat forum but I thought I would show this pic off to you fine folk.
A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to end up production managing Dr Jane Goodall's lecture here in Dunedin, New Zealand. While she was visiting my place of work I asked her manager if she would grant me a small amount of time to take her portrait. I was given 5min!
So here is the results...5mins, 5 sheets of film, no lights and a cark park. Probably one of my most nerve wracking experiences as a photographer of late.
Shot with a Razzle 900 df (Zeiss Planaer 135mm). Ilford Hp5+ developed in Ilford Microphen and scanned via a epson v700 and better scanning dry mount adaptor.

Very nice. So there aren't any light modifiers and this is just indirect light in a parking garage? I'm impressed you did this in so little time with large format. I shoot a roll back on a 4x5, and I'm not sure if I could work that fast.

You should have photographed her eating a banana! Just kidding, cool photo.
However, such a photo might have gotten published in many magazines and newspapers.
I like the quality of 4x5, but believe it can be static on people shots.

No..no light modifiers..just a little coverage from the building and natural light. Normal 4x5 cameras would have been too slow but the Razzle makes shooting 4x5 a breeze...think leica on steroids

She should give you more, but you have managed it well.

Great!
Beautiful portrait.
But more to your credit is getting time to spend with her. That can be the most difficult task for many.
Kudos to you.

I like her body language, attitude, and expression.
I also like the landscape format vs portrait presentation.
Five exposures is plenty. You covered it. You only need one.

She has a nice gaze towards the camera. Nice shot.
But I must say, you are in New Zealand and you photograph her in a car-park??
Come on man, its New Zealand.

I think it's a lovely portrait. Kudos to you for finding the light, and getting the picture, in such a short time frame.
