While looking over The Online Photographer, I just found this astounding image of Larry Burrows' Leica after the crash:

Very interesting. I have a book by him which I got about 25 yrs ago.

Interesting. I was in Quang Tri and Khe Sanh during Lam Son 719. I don't remember hearing about their loss, but then there was a lot going on at the time. And they were apparently in a South Vietnamese helicopter which might not have been so noteworthy at the time. As I said, there really was a lot going on at the time. There was over a division worth of American troops in the area at the time, supporting the incursion of the South Vietnamese division. The South Vietnamese really ran into a meat grinder there.

by Richard Pyle and Horst Faas

Also in the same crash three other photojournalists were killed, Henri Huet, Kent Potter, and Keisaburo Shimamoto.
