latest additions to your library

I don't own it yet but I checked Bruce Davidson's "England/Scotland 1960" out of the library recently - some fantastic images and makes me a little homesick.

Jill Freedman's "Ireland Ever", purchased in a gift shop at Moll's Gap for 10 Euro while on vacation in Ireland this past Sunday.

I've been long wanting to buy a book by Steve Mc Curry, so when I accidentally found his book about the photos (with large double-page prints of fantastic shots), I could not resist.

!!! HEADS UP !!! Trent Parke's "Minutes to Midnight"

I know this book sold out quickly and many people are looking for it, so I was surprised to see 2 or 3 copies on the shelf in American Book Center (ABC) in Amsterdam. Locals or visitors looking for it - here's your tip.
Oh, just checked, they have it online too - here.

The Family Of Man, Edward Steichen.

I understand now why some of the folks here highly recommend this book. More books in my wish-list now. Any other books that I should look at?

Looking at Photographs, John Szarkowski.

Fyi, Steidl is working on Henri Cartier-Bresson: The Decisive Moment, release date Oct 14. I'm just so glad to be able to buy one, even though it is not the so called first edition.

Andy Summers - I'll be watching you and
Robert Lebeck - Moscow Tokyo Leopoldville
Both have been given to me as birthday presents.

Very lucky to be able to get a new and sealed Robert Frank Looking In (Expanded Edition) at normal price. The book is huge and the printed contact sheets are great.

Also ordered Saul Leiter's Early Black and White.

Walker Evans, American Photographs (Tate Publishing, The Museum Of Modern Art, 2012)

Beautifully printed and presented, and with an informative and enlightening essay by Lincoln Kirstein.
