My latest addition is Sunlanders by Sean Lotman, an xmas present from my lovely wife. http://www.bemojake.eu/Sunlanders_description.html
I didn't know Lotman's work but "Sunlanders" is a book I "need" to buy!
And there are interesting works in his website. Thanks michaelwj for the suggestion

Ian, I just noticed the single volume has goneSince my Eggleston collection is 0, I might look at Election Eve...
Strangely, it now seems to be back in stock again with the usual third party sellers on Amazon (at least it does here in the UK). Book Depository have it for £26. I could swear that wasn't the case only a few weeks ago.

There are two single volume "The Democratic Forest" books. The first one was published years ago (1980's) and is still fairly well available in used condition. The full multi volume edition of the project came next and is, of course, expensive. Most recently, the single volume edition was published that is made up of selections from the full multi volume project. That book is becoming expensive itself.
I have both the original single copy edition and the newer single copy edition. They are not the same book, the most recent having better reproductions and different sequencing with some different photos. Unfortunately, I don't have the multi volume edition of "The Democratic Forest". It's just too expensive for my budget.

Yes, it is the 2016 "The Selected Works" (David Zwirner) book that I've been referring to. It went out of print last year and the price had been rising accordingly. However, the price today from sellers like Book Depository has dropped back to £26 so I guess it is either back in print or Steidl have found some extra copies at the back of the warehouse.

Empire of Illusion: Terry Munro
I wasn't really planning on buying anything at The Camera Store but the pictures in the book impressed me so much that I spontaneously bought the book. bonus point as Terry Munro is a local photographer and got a signed copy.

Photography can be about the everyday experience, and the ordinary things that people pass by without noticing.
Moore (1920-87) was the first living British photographer to have an individual show at the Art Council’s Hayward Gallery in London; Brandt was 11 years earlier but that show was on tour from MoMA .
“Murmurs at Every Turn “came at the time of his Hayward show in 1981. He used a Nikon SLR camera and a single standard lens, 55mm f3.5, not because he wanted close-ups but because he found it sharp with a flat field of view . He mainly worked with Ilford FP4 film.
Published 1981 in book form by Travelling Light, London, with an introduction by Mark Haworth-Booth, this accompanied the retrospective exhibition prepared by the Arts Council of Great Britain, covering the years from 1957 to 1980.
The title is a quote from Rainer Maria Rilke "Everything beckons us to perceive it. Murmurs at every turn – ‘remember me’”
This is the paperback 1st edition, the hardback carries the title on the dust cover the softback does not.

Caught up with a copy of the Sam Abell "Stay this Moment", something of a Master Class in composition. The problem, if it is one, that rarely do they transcend that technical level. Full of admiration for the execution, which is flawless, but empty of anything deeper.
A great contrast to my previous book post on Raymond Moore where there is depth without pretentiousness, both photo-books have their place but at opposing ends of the shelf.

There's a Sally Mann retrospective in Washington DC this month and a new book, A Thousand Crossings, to accompany it. I only have one Mann book so, at £26, this new book looks like a good option to fill that gap.

My notes were a combination of several sources, Peter Marshall has written on Moore well, he knew him personally:
