LCD Bleed?

I've been looking for a Nikon F4 to give to my brother. Figures that one of the cleanest and most reasonably priced ones has a bleeding viewfinder LCD...
I've never used a camera with such an affliction before. Does the bleeding usually progress until it covers the entire screen, or will it settle?
Please, Doc, tell me it's not terminal!

Usually it just hangs around the edges of the LCD, but there are worse examples. Just one of those things you take a chance with.
Make sure if you do buy one that it is only around the edges when you buy it, not covering detail areas.

I have two F4's and only one shows any signs of bleeding...it's very little and only on the bottom part of the upper left side display...the main lower display is in the DP-20 viewfinder the upper left display is in the camera body...
The small amount of bleeding that I do have has been the same since I got the camera..at times it looks better than other times...
Like I said if it's in the Main bottom display it's the DP-20 not the body...

I've got a Contax TvS that had some LCD bleed in the top panel screen- at the edge only. It went away for a while then came back, but hasn't gotten worse over the last year plus.

There are enough F4 bodies with no LCD bleed being sold cheaply that I wouldn't bother with one that has a flaw like that. The repair costs more than an F4 in good condition.
