LCD screen backlight bleeding and yellow discolouration

Hello,

I purchased last Saturday a Fuji X-pro 1 that I've been using to great satisfaction with a 28mm MS Optical (first picture).

I quickly noticed however that the back LCD backlighting was bleeding light and presented a yellow discolouration over the bleeding areas. You can see it in the second picture. I went today to my dealership to look at a replacement, but all his four available bodies had the exact same issue, in the exact same proportions. His demo model had the same issue, but of a lesser intensity.

I'll contact Fujifilm soon and tell you about how this unfolds. If you have the same issue this would be nice for us to share the experience.

Obviously this shouldn't affect picture quality one bit, but it remains a manufacturing defect that shouldn't be here in the first place.

My screen does this somewhat, but I wasn't bothered by it. Happy to see the 28mm perar on it. I'm looking at that combo too. How's the IQ from that combo? Any issues?

No issue at all. It is in fact one of the few wides that seems not to smear quite badly in the corners. I suppose its different tessar formula is the reason. It's a modern lens and it renders in a modern way, despite the century old formula. It's quite sharp, although I can't directly compare it to the Fuji lenses.
