Hi, all. I have two R-D1 units, both purchased from the Epson refurb store when these were available. The one I used is pretty minty, just a bit of nicked paint at the base of the LCD screen, and has only <4200 actuations. The spare, purchased a few weeks later, shows only 3 actuations, and is truly mint from what I can see. As I recall, I have flashed both to R-D1s status, and both focus correctly.
I unboxed the spare unit today, as I'm considering putting these up for sale, and couldn't get the LCD screen to display anything. Any ideas out there on what to try before I send it in for repair? Is Steves still the best place to go?
(BTW, I will put these up for sale when I'm satisfied that everything is in tip-top shape. I may sell some glass as well at that time (Heliar 12 5.6; Zeiss Biogon 28 2.8; Nokton 40 1.4; Nokton 50 1.5; Summitar 50 2 collapsible), as well as a black Luigi case (not sure precisely which one it was) and strap, and a Megaperls MS-MAG x1.3N viewfinder magnifier.)
FWIW, I'm not ready to sell yet (and this is not an attempt to bypass the classifieds fee). Help with figuring out the best way to proceed would be great!
thanks -
