This pic was taken with my Fujica GL690 , using the 180mm on Ilford Pan F+ . Nothing remarkable here , Except , this was handheld at 1/8 second !!!

Not so much leaf shutters, as (a) larger formats = less magnification and (b) non-reflexes = less vibration. In the days of 4x5 inch press cameras it was not unusual to shoot 1/10 wide open (f/4.5 or f/4.7) with a 135mm lens, and 1/5 if you had to.

My Leica digis shake like film reflex. I have to really hang on .
The best is leaf shutter, cloth focal plane on RF camera.
Then the reflex cameras need a mechanical mirror damper like Leicaflex. Stay away from R3 & 4 & 5 series. R6 and newer are fine.
The foam mirror dampener is close to worthless.

^^ I have a couple of Busch Pressman D's and must admit I've never tried any shutter speeds remotely close to that slow ! But with the handle on the Busch I'm thinking they're
easier to take pictures with than the Fujica with that enormous 180 mm lens . Peter

Its amazing how slow you can go with a 4x5 speed graphic and leaf shutter..I've been down to the 1/8th sec range with excellent results..
